FIRST AID AND AVIATION MEDICINE– RECURRENT TRAINING

In-flight medical emergencies can develop suddenly and without warning. Refreshing and demonstrating aviation first aid knowledge, skills and abilities on an annual basis can boost confidence and make a real difference when faced with a range of inflight medical emergencies, both in flight and on the ground.

The course gives a brief theoretical introduction, providing an update of changes in aviation first aid procedures, regulatory compliance and equipment found on board. Procedures are then refreshed during practical training in order for participants to apply the necessary knowledge and skills for onboard medical emergencies. A review of recent aviation medical emergencies is provided.

First Aid and Aviation Medicine – Recurrent Training, is targeted at crew members who are required to refresh and demonstrate their knowledge on an annual basis and covers all subjects required by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and resuscitation guidelines for CPR.
